Hello fellow bloggers,
Let’s talk about the other side of the color guard world. Though I
do love performing in front of people and could probably do it for a living,
but… teaching children and people who love the sport as much as I do makes the
job even more incredible. I’ve worked at my previous high school for three
years and loved every second of that stressful job. I was in charge of
coordinating and guiding the group of 27 girls and boys throughout the season
making sure they are trained and ready for any competition that they compete
in. I can honestly say that teaching this sport is incredible and it makes me
fall for it every day. The feeling of making up a routine for children who want
to learn from you makes you feel so professional and talented while you’re able
to showcase your talent to your kids and help them grow as individuals. Not
only do I get that privilege, but I get to form a close family with the kids who
went to the same high school as I did and we all relate to one another in
pretty much any way. Seeing little performers become passionate about guard is
the reason why I continue to love this activity.
Until next time,
Noura
