THUMP

Hello fellow bloggers!

Wow has time flown by... it's so crazy to think that I've been doing this activity for about ten whole years... TEN YEARS. Some people get so bored of an activity or hobby one week into it. But nope, not me. I fell hard, and kept falling. But one incident made me become a little more... nervous about this sport. I started winter guard when I was in the sixth grade, and when it came to my sophomore year of high school, I began learning more and more tricks and risking my safety... more and more. I was always a rifle girl, loved everything about it. It was sixth period, and I decided to ask my teacher to leave my biology class to go back to the band room and practice some new tricks. Not knowing things wouldn't go my way, the teacher said yes and I was on my way. I began practicing tossing the rifle and turning underneath it twice. I was always scared of trying but wanted to get better so I did it. I attempted the trick. The first time happened... "one, two, catch." I tried it a second time... "one, two, catch." and I was so proud of my rookie self for accomplishing such an incredible trick, I decided to go for a third time. "One, two, THUMP." I began turning under the spinning rifle and began to feel weird about this toss so I ran toward shelter... not soon enough.
Tune in to my next blog to find out what happened!

Until next time,
Noura
